After worry that it would be days or even weeks that the bridge would re-open again because of an unexpected crack found in part of the existing structure, the folks at Caltrans fixed the problem by helicoptering in parts from Arizona and inserting new bridge span that they came to, well… insert.

Hats off to the dudes working night and day.  For those of you who were “forced” to take BART, it’s actually pretty neat, isn’t it?
